During the shoot he did a fine job giving us directions on how to pose and made sure we were comfortable doing what he asked of us. He constantly checked in with us in case we needed a break for our little one which was really considerate. At the end of our shoot he was detailed with the process of how we would receive our photos, when we would expect them and the overall theme we wanted to go with. “I had contacted Gus in hopes to capture our first family trip to CA (we wanted beach photos). From the initial conversation, he was responsiveness, accountable AND proactive (everything down to sending us a pin drop of the photoshoot location). When chatting with him, he asked questions on what our kids liked (and did not) and vision of the photos. Capturing photos of kids is a whole new sport, which Gus had no issues with. He was patient, kind and even brough our kiddos blankets to keep warm between shots (so thoughtful).
We had no idea how to approach our first family photo (which included grandparents). Gus made us feel very comfortable and guided us on how to pose (since it’s not always natural). He was excellent in helping us get through a variety of family shots and worked quickly when the kids lost interest in getting their pictures taken.
Most importantly we could not be happier with the photos we received. They are light, airy and truly captured the love and happiness of our trip. We had so many wonderful photos to choose from and I know we will cherish them forever.”
